June has been unusual cold this year, but still there was so much to do. My Dad was here with us and we had a great time with him.
We went to the mountains together with him and some friends and picked wild vegerables in the forest. We also went fishing and then there was also Yumi's and Yuki's Sportsfestival. I love those Japanese Sportfestivals, because it's all about fun and not about who wins and who is best. SO the kids did also perform some dances...
I especially adore YOSAKOI, a folk-dance, which comes from the "Soran-coast" here in Hokkaido.
It's a traditional dance of the fishermen and now many groups make a modern version of it and dance it for fun or in competitions all over Hokkaido. The school also formed a team and it was gorgeous to watch.
We also had some wonderful guests. "Uncle Brian" from the USA came for some days to meet us all and also some of my friends and their families from Tokyo visited.
Now the house is empty again and so I go back to painting.
I finished the mushroom-paintings and I'm already so excited about the exhibition at the science-festival in August. Here you can already find some information about it and see some of my mushroom-art, but unfortunatelly it's only Japanese

I'm also already ecxited about the exhibition
Will do it later, because I'm really excited about all the news and upcoming events.
Hope all of you have a great time...
Julia
