Got tagged

got tagged by :iconingeline-art:

So these is the rules:

1. post these rules.
2.Each tagged person must post 10 things about
themselves on their journal.
3.At the end you have to choose and tag 10 people
and post their icons on the same journal.
4.Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
5.No tag- backs

Here are 10 random facts about me...

1. I live in Japan since almost 5 years and I never can imagine to live anywhere else in the world.

2. I always had bad marks in art until I was 17, because my teacher said I did not paint "abstract" enough.

3. I love birds... I raised a lot wild birds, I found abandoned in the nature.

4. I love to hunt and pick my own food, so I go fishing or herb-picking almost every weekend.

5. I'm a very restless person. I always need to do something "active". Therefore, for example, I prefer videogames (RPGs), instead of books, because I can take part in the story in a more active way.

6. I have synaesthesia... I see letters and numbers in color.

7. Beside painting, I love cooking.

8. I prefer to be alone during the day, because I can paint and think and relax best that way.

9. On the canvas, I'm my biggest enemy... always challenging myself.

10. When I'm alone, I often talk to myself.

Busy...

Wed Oct 14, 2009, 4:13 PM
*sigh* now the swineflu has reached Hakodate and a lot of schools are closed. :o
My kids and we are fine, fortunately, but since their school is closed I won't have much time to paint. But I enjoy to have the kids with me. After they make their homework, we always play together and it's so much fun. :aww:

Autumn is here and I enjoy the beautiful colors... makes me want to sit down and paint instantly
I will probably upload some photos in my other blog [link]

Exhibition in Germany

Wed Sep 16, 2009, 2:54 PM
The science festival is over and it was totally great. I'm still overwhelmed by all the feedback and support, people gave me. :aww:

Now I take part in a show in Germany, featuring artists and art from Japan and Korea.
Unfortunatelly I can not go there personally, because it's too far and my kids don't have holidays, but one of my paintings is hanging there.
The show is in Wiesbaden and later in Hofheim... for further information, please check my blog:

And I have some other exciting things coming up... :w00t:
Thought it would be a quiet Autumn, but no way
But that's o.k, I will NEVER complain...

I also look forward to next weekend, because due to holidays we have 3 additional days off :w00t:
The weatherforecast looks great and so I think we will be up in the mountains hiking, mushroom-picking and at the sea fishing.

Summer has started... finally

Mon Jun 22, 2009, 3:12 PM
Today, Summer has finally started and the weather will be great for the next weeks (I hope). :D
June has been unusual cold this year, but still there was so much to do. My Dad was here with us and we had a great time with him.
We went to the mountains together with him and some friends and picked wild vegerables in the forest. We also went fishing and then there was also Yumi's and Yuki's Sportsfestival. I love those Japanese Sportfestivals, because it's all about fun and not about who wins and who is best. SO the kids did also perform some dances...
I especially adore YOSAKOI, a folk-dance, which comes from the "Soran-coast" here in Hokkaido.
It's a traditional dance of the fishermen and now many groups make a modern version of it and dance it for fun or in competitions all over Hokkaido. The school also formed a team and it was gorgeous to watch.

We also had some wonderful guests. "Uncle Brian" from the USA came for some days to meet us all and also some of my friends and their families from Tokyo visited.

Now the house is empty again and so I go back to painting.
I finished the mushroom-paintings and I'm already so excited about the exhibition at the science-festival in August. Here you can already find some information about it and see some of my mushroom-art, but unfortunatelly it's only Japanese ;)

I'm also already ecxited about the exhibition :icontheancientofdays: holds. Thank you soooooo much, Chris, that I can take part !!! :glomp:

:o somehow I can not change my emoticon from neutral to excited... :o
Will do it later, because I'm really excited about all the news and upcoming events.

Hope all of you have a great time...
